The Bainbridge Island Wine School provides wine classes, tastings, and other educational opportunities to residents and visitors of Bainbridge Island. Public classes are offered through the Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN), and customized educational opportunities are available for companies, organizations, and private groups.

The Wine School is run by Christopher Gronbeck, founder and former owner of The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar in Seattle. Christopher has over 30 years of teaching experience in the renewable energy and environmental science fields, and has been teaching wine classes for 15 years through The Barrel Thief, North Seattle Community College's Wine & Spirits Continuing Education Program, and other venues. He serves as a judge at The Wine Panel, the Washington Wine Awards, SIP Northwest's Best of the NW, and other regional competitions.
